About Our Camp:

From the moment your child steps into a Step it Up Basketball Camp, he or she is treated like a serious athlete. At Step It Up, we cater to the aspiring basketball player at every stage in the game and every level of physical fitness. Our camps are designed to enhance basketball skills, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, and inspire confidence in every aspect of our players’ lives.

How We Do It:

By gathering the highest qualified trainers and skill development coaches using state of the art equipment and developing both the mental and physical aspects of the game, we are able to enhance our players skills both on and off the court.

At Step It Up, we believe that every player has the opportunity for growth. By making an honest evaluation and identifying his or her key areas of improvement, we are able to tailor a program specifically suited for each individual. With small team sizes and concentrated coaching, you can be assured that your child is receiving the personalized attention they need to advance their game.

Additionally, all of our coaches and counselors are continually background checked to ensure that your child is not only coached by the best in the industry, but is also in a safe environment while away from home.

Ideals:

At Step It Up, we understand that an athlete’s success is attributed to more than just their performance on the court. We strive to encourage mental strength, persistence, and determination among all of our athletes. Each athlete will be challenged to name their goals athletically and personally, as well as encouraged and supported throughout the program to reach their goals.

Daily Regimen:

While the daily workouts change as our athletes develop new skills, we have seen the best results when the routine stays the same. Our structured program allow your children to excel while sticking to a structured daily regimen.

Typical day at Step It Up Basketball Camp:

  • 7:30 am - Morning Services (Optional)
  • 8:30 am - Wake Up/Breakfast
  • 10:00 am - Mechanics and Form Shooting
  • 10:30 am - Position Specific Skill Development
  • 11:15 am - Speed & Agility/Strength training
  • 12:00 pm - Lunch
  • 1:00 pm - Leisure Time
  • 2:00 pm - Afternoon Services (Optional)
  • 3:00 pm - Yoga/Stretching
  • 4:00 pm - Snack/Break
  • 4:30 pm - Group Skill Development/League Games
  • 6:00 pm - Dinner
  • 7:00 pm - Leisure Time
  • 7:45 pm - Evening Services (Optional)
  • 8:00 pm - Evening Activity
  • 9:30 pm - Snack
  • 10:00 pm - Lounge

* Additionally, we take two field trips per week.One recreational trip is taken as well as one community service trip to demonstrate to our athletes the responsibility we have to give back to the community.

Religious Needs:

All food is Kosher and certified by the Orthodox Union (OU) and under the supervision of the ORB. We are also able to provide special meal options for any athletes that have dietary restrictions.

Praying and learning will be available daily. Shabbat programs and services are available.

Q) What has Step It Up done for your team?

A) Step it up has really played a big role in getting our team united and comfortable playing with each other.  Step It Up has also got our team in great shape for this upcoming season.

Q) Has Step It Up helped with your team’s unity?

A) Yes, Step it Up has really improved our teams unity. It has allowed us to work out together and bond throughout the pre-season routine.

Q) Would you say that Step It Up has helped with your teams mental strength, speed, and overall conditioning?

A) I definitely feel that Step It Up has helped our team overall. It has allowed us to feel comfortable with one another on and off the field.

Q) With you being a senior, is this your best season as far as your approach to the game?

A) This has definitely been my best season.  I would definitely thank Step It Up for playing such a huge role in helping our team with our approach on and off the field.

Q) Has Step It Up prepared you for the mental and physical rigors of varsity season.

A) Step It Up prepared me mentally for the longest season in school history.

Q) Would you recommend Step It Up to other serious athletes?

A) YES, I feel that Step it up has made my teammates and I overall better players.  Step It Up has allowed us to improve our game in all aspects!
