Cell Phone Policy
As you all know, Camp Step It Up is a cell phone free and wifi-enabled device free camp. This means that we do not allow cell phones or any devices with wifi at camp. The reason we include a charger on the packing list is for campers traveling to and from camp. Getting our campers to “disconnect” from their devices so that they can “connect” to themselves is a staple of Camp Step It Up and something we hold near and dear to our hearts. It’s what makes the program possible.

We are aware that there are some kids that are planning on keeping their cell phones as well as some parents who may instruct their kids to keep their cell phones. We want to be very clear that if a camper is found with a cell phone, Ipad, watch, laptop or any wifi enabled devices they will be expelled from camp immediately.

Honesty and trust are of utmost importance. There will be zero tolerance for this so please advise your children accordingly. We want to start off camp on the right foot with positive energy and transparency.

Campers will be able to keep their phones on the bus or flight to camp. We will then collect their phones once they arrive and will store it for them during their stay with us.
